The Bolivarian Revolution |
Hey guys. Just read this good article on Venezuela vs. USA, and it mentions Bolivia a few times. I'd like for you all to read it, as it aptly describes what's going on in South America right now, particularily Venezuela.
Check it out, yo!

That was really interesting, I haven't been taking the time to read articles like that lately, but I'm glad that I did.

The US government think they own the whole fucking world! I hope they keep putting money into their military and taking money out of everything else so that the American people realize that the Bush administration is really fucking dumb, and then they can throw them out. I think it was Haiti, you were telling me about one time, where the leader was elected by the people and was doing a bunch of great stuff for the people, and he'd gotten rid of the military so that the money that went toward that could go toward social programs, and then the US came in and took him away and installed some dumb asswipe and everything went back to shit again. I think that was Haiti. Anyways, I hope Hugo Chavez learned from that and wont let that happen again. Ellie PS - what can the US government do to stop Hugo from getting re-elected?

Hahaha, I love you Kris.
Eleanore, thank you so much for remembering that...it means a lot :) Now I know that at least for SOMEONE my political rants don't fall on deaf ears. That was President Aristide, by the way, and just a little while ago his buddy Preval was elected in the first democratic elections since the coup that overthrew Aristide. Preval will likely follow the same course in Haiti as Aristide did (who is still in exile in South Africa, by the way) Power to you, Preval! What can the USA do to prevent the re-election of Hugo Chavez? Well, they've already thried overthrowing him in a military coup...and that didn't work....they send a lot of money to opposition parties and groups that try to discredit Hugo, but it's all in vain. I've read reports that the USA is building up troops in Paraguay and is collecting intelligence on Venezuela for a possible military strike...but they're so bogged down in Iraq right now that the military route isn't really an option. Particularily since Iran is closer and closer to meeting it's demise from the USA (or maybe it's the other way around...) Thanks for being interested :) Check out some of the links I have on my page (right hand side) if you want to read more...Z Mag is a great site for gathering info on current events.
