Crazy Terrorists |
Things are fine here in La Paz, thanks for the comments everyone. No further buildings have exploded.
Turns out that the two terrorists are now being considered criminally insane, which to me makes sense. There was no apparant motive for blowing up two pidelly ass hotels way outside the city center. CNN did a follow up with some good info (for once, good on you CNN, you lousy peice of garbage!)

Just thought I'd say that.
Also, since I totally bashed Bolivian food before (which was TOTALLY merited, by the way) I figured I'd make a list of some of the edible things that I LIKE about Bolivia.
1. The fresh fruit juices in the street 2. The chocolate snacks 3. BBQ meet, potatoes, with peanut sauce 4. Salchipapas (essentially french fries and hot dogs. Not very Bolivian, I know) 5. Bolivian fast food (deep fried chicken with french fries and fried bananas)
That is all. |

Hey Ben What kind of fresh fruit juices? Have you had Guava juice yet? They sell guava nectar here and it's like heaven in a 1L carton. All pink and thick and sweet. Yummy. The only exciting thing in my life right now is that we have to move out of our house soon, Faking david is taking a trip to alberta and I'm invited to go with them and help out, and soon I will attempt to recreate the infamous Ben's Peanut-Butter Chicken stir-fry deliciousness. Wish me luck! If it turns out maybe I will be the one making it for you when you get home, ahahahah! Love ellie

What kind of fruit juices? Well, you tell them what you want and they blend it up right in front of you...banana, orange, pineapple, strawberry...soooo good...
Here's the recipe as I remember it:
Chicken breast Minced garlic Condensed coconut milk Lots of powered ginger Peanut butter Soya sauce Other random asian sauces Sweet chile/curry sauce
Fry up the chicken with the garlic until it's mostly cooked, then pour in the coconut milk until it's enough to be saucy. Sprinkle a shit load of ginger on, and then add a few tablespoons of your soya sauce or other desired sauces (2-3 will do) Then put in as much chile sauce as you want (I use the "THAI" stuff...really good) Then add the peanut butter (about 2 tbsp) and fry it all up together, making sure the peanut butter doesn't burn on the bottom! Godspeed.

hey ben robbie made the chicken thing last ngiht, as i was sick sick sick and our chicken had been in the fridge for a couple of days already. it was good, but different. We didn't have many spices so he just used whatever and it turned out very mild compared to yours. I should like to try making it a few times before I present it to you, haha. hope things are going well love ellie
